Victim Assistance

Our advocacy unit helps crime victims navigate the criminal justice process, keeps them apprised of case updates, connects them with shelter, medical, financial, counseling, and other resources in the community, and offers overall support and advocacy for the victim and their family in a very critical time.

There are no fees for the services provided by the Victim Assistance Program.

If you have questions about your rights, the court process, or the Victims of Violent Crime Compensation Fund, contact the Victim Assistance Office at (812) 435-5153 or visit vccvr.org for Crime Victim Resources.
