A long-serving member of the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office recently received a prestigious award recognizing his work within the community.
During the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council’s Annual Winter Conference in December, Doug Brown was one of nine individuals to receive recognition for their commitment to public safety and law enforcement.
Doug was presented with the “Stephen J. Johnson Outstanding Service Award” after being nominated by Vanderburgh County Prosecutor Diana Moers.
Doug has worked as part of the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office for 38 years, serving in various roles, including Chief Deputy, head of Child Support, and, most recently, as the Chief Filing Deputy.
“There has not been an attorney in Vanderburgh County in the last 30 years that’s more respected or well-liked by attorneys, staff, and judges than Doug Brown,” said Vanderburgh County Deputy Prosecutor Stan Levco, who spoke about Doug at the banquet.
